Summer 2007 - Youth Asset Builder of the Month

Kelly Redmond
Summer 2007 Youth Asset Award

Kelly Redmond has been chosen as our Asset Award recipient for a number of reasons. She is one of those sixteen year olds any parent would be proud to call their own and any teacher would enjoy having as a student. Kelly sets high standards for herself and is not afraid to become involved. We are pleased to have Kelly, who will be a junior at Hartford Union High School, as the newest member on the Hartford Project Care Inc. Board of Directors.

Kelly is a member of both the high school girls’ golf and track teams. She is a member of the high school orchestra and has participated in the last few musicals as part of the orchestra. She is a high achieving student who takes great pride in her work. Kelly performs a number of community service activities through the youth program at her church, volunteered at the PGA US Bank Open, and is now actively involved in working with Hartford Project Care.

Not only does Kelly find time for her studies, co-curricular activities, and service to the community, she also finds time to work. Kelly is employed at Hahn’s True Value and also baby-sits. Kelly is an individual who is a positive role model to her peers and we are pleased to have her involved with Hartford Project Care.

Summer 2007 Asset Builder Award

Hartford Police Department – Explorer Post 9910

Recognizing those who are true assets to our community is the purpose of the Asset Builder Award. With this in mind it is no surprise we have chosen the Hartford Police Department?s Explorer Post 9910 for this summer?s award. The Hartford Police Department Explorer Post 9910 was formed in September of 2006 as a way for youth to receive a closer look at the field of law enforcement. It also helps teens give back to their community. The Police Explorer program is available to any young males or females between the ages of 14-21.
