Volunteering with Hartford Project Care

A community coalition is an alliance of local individuals or groups who are working together to create positive change in their community. They work together to solve a problem and make their community a happier, healthier place to live. Hartford Project Care was formed to address high-risk behaviors in young people in the Hartford area. By getting involved, you’ll not only make a difference in the life of a young person, you’ll also create positive change in a community, and perhaps in yourself.

What can you do to make a difference? Join Hartford Project Care!
We meet on the first Wednesday of every month – with the exception of June and July – from 3-4 p.m. in the Library at Hartford Union High School. Come with your ideas for activities for youth, fundraising initiatives or other ways we can all work together to build assets in Hartford’s youth.

Can’t make the meetings? No problem. Contact Us, and let us know that you’d like to be listed as a member. We’ll invite you to help in areas where your interests or talents lie.

  • Can you staff an information table at your school’s open house or parent teacher conference night?
  • Are you a great grant writer?
  • Can you help plan a leadership class for young people in the community?

Whatever your interest or talent, you CAN help us make Hartford A Healthy Community -  Healthy Youth town.
